Coco McPherson (she/her) is a New York-based journalist and photographer reporting on labor, housing and the environment for Capital & Main, GothamistHell GateVibeFast CompanyRolling Stone, and The Village Voice, where she was also a weekly columnist. As a Claremont Documentary Project Fellow, Coco spent a year collaborating with Bronx teenagers to tell community stories using photography. Those collaborations are ongoing.

Coco's work has been exhibited at Photoville in San Francisco, at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, at the Pavillon de l'Arsinal in Paris, and in New York galleries including the Bronx Documentary Center and Worthless Studios. She is a longtime darkroom student of master printer, Brian Young.
